Funny old day today. Mostly sunny in Richmond, grey and wet in Vancouver. It's 7pm and we've just got home from a long day shopping. We went out at 10.30 this morning! The cats think they've been abandoned! Poor things.
John suggested we try a burger joint called Vera's who claim to have the best Burgers in Vancouver. So do Feeny's a posh restaurant. Obviously they also have a posh price Vera's don't.
Anyway the burgers are good, very large and very tasty.
Johns dropped off back home to work and we head of to Costco, an enormous wholesale Supermarket. Just look at a small section of the fresh meat counter. You don't see joints or packs of meat that size in Tescos! Steaks over 1" thick
If you thought the 'Super Store' looked big you should see this store. We come out with a trolley full of goods between us all, load them into the trunk and go to The Bay at Richmond Center. The Bay has a cafe so we stop for tea and dessert! More eating. Nancy picks up some of their wedding gifts before we walk the whole length of the Mall to Sears. 'The Bay' and 'Sears' are big departmental stores both about three times the size of John Lewis. We both find warm winter jackets suitable for the cold in the Ice Fields up in the mountains.
By this time the Richmond sunshine has been defeated by the rain clouds. It's teeming down.
On the way home Nancylee picks up some DVDs from Blockbusters. ( The rain may have had something to do with making her run across to the store to choose them!) We're going to have a 'girly ' night in and the 'boys' are off to the cinema to see a Western before the Pub for a meal and nightcap....... or two!
Oh and I forgot Dave now has some new shirts at last!!!
