The auto mechanic took longer to diagnose the problems with John and Nancy's 'sick' car than expected. It's going to need some major surgery in a couple of days. Not good, But it's still safe to drive in the mean time.
Our 'out for breakfast' becomes Brunch. Not a problem. DeDutch Pancakes tastes good any time of the day. After lunch or Brunch a leisurely stroll round the nearby gigantic Superstore for groceries. This store make our Tesco's super store look like a corner store!
Our evening outing by contrast was to John and Nancy's home for a barbecue. Although the day had been sunny it was now much cooler so John did the barbecuing outside the patio door and we all ate in a more civilise way around the dinning room table. The barbecued duck breast and vegetables were delicious. Super stores 'Presidents Choice' coconut cream tart was an excellent choice for the dessert. I forgot my good intentions and had a second helping.
The only blot on the evening was the lousy effort put into the Canucks/Bruins ice hockey game.
