The Post Mortem

June 16th the Big Cleanup.

The morning after a night of riots in Downtown Vancouver, saw much of the street rubbish has already cleaned away. City Cleansing teams were out at 3am this morning beginning the massive cleanup. Members of the public horrified and ashamed of the unruly disgusting behaviour of Kids determined to cause trouble after the Canucks game came to the City to help with the cleanup. Teams of window firms were boarding up the broken windows and shop employees assessing the loss and damage.
The big debate on what went wrong has started.
Photos and videos of the perpetrators have already been posted on YouTube, Face book and other social network sites. TV stations and the police have already been inundated with emails. So many images of such stupid and dangerous actions by kids not caring if they are identified or not. Some, already realising their images are on the Internet have already turned themselves into the police.
So many people horrified at what was happening, tried to stop the carnage and some were turned on by adrenalin fueled mobs.
Police were out numbered and out manoeuvred. Their reputations have taken a hit, but they are in a catch 22 situation. Dammed if they do and damned if they don't.
The media who were there filming the whole evening are now conducting the post mortem in detail.
