Monday June 13th
Well the 13th was not a lucky day for the Canucks in the 6th game of the Stanley Cup final playoff. Not a good game at all . The Bruins, who were playing to stay in the series played rough from the start. Body slamming and fouling. They managed 2 rapid goals in the first 30 mins. and in the same period hospitalised one of the Canucks. The final score was a win for the Bruins of 5/1.
I wonder. Maybe the beards the Players so superstitiously grow over the Cup series gives no luck to the teams whatsoever. Whoooo wash my mouth out!!! Come on guys it's skill and just a small portion of luck that wins.
Maybe its time to ditch the beards and go all out for skill. Final deciding game on Wednesday night in Vancouver.
It hasn't been a good day for me either. The smashed toe just slowly improves as the healing progresses. It's three weeks now since it happened so it was definitely more than just a bruise. The bone was damaged in some way. No shoes for me yet. good job it's summer!
My duff knee seems to be playing up more as the weather gets warmer. It especially doesn't like me walking for long period. This is a real bummer as isn't that what holidays are all about, well ours always have been. The pain killers have been hit today and I've struggled to keep mind over matter today.
On the good side I eventually found some simple flipflops to wear to the pool side and a cover up sarong to hide my bad bits. I did suggest a burkar might be more appropriate!
