We are sailing all day and throughout the night now back to Vancouver. Through open seas in Queen Charlotte Sound to Pine Island Pilot Station where the Canadian Pilot boards again to pilot the ship through the inside passage of Blackney Pass, Chatham Point and finally the Seymour Narrows and on through the Georgia Strait to Vancouver.
This morning begins overcast and misty the ship rolls very slightly in the open sea. Nancy’s still not too well so stays in bed until lunch time. Dave does his usual tour of the open decks and I sit quietly and read in the peace and calm of the ships library. By lunch time the cloud cover is breaking and clears enough by the afternoon to allow the sun through.
After lunch Nancy and I go and select the Cruise Photos we want to purchase. It’s a bit difficult making a decision on which ones to keep and which to reject but we eventually whittle the numbers down.
Nancy’s still not feeling great so goes back to her Stateroom for a rest. There’s a Sugar Craft demonstration this afternoon I intended to watch but it’s a stand and watch event.
The Russian Chef is demonstrating boiled sugar work and she would have gone on to decorating an already iced cake with chocolate. My aching knees and swollen ankles protest too much and as I have done all the type of sugar craft she is going to demonstrate I escape and go on deck for some fresh air.
This evening we are dining in the quite of the Murano restaurant. It’s yet another great meal, with great service as well
After dinner we catch the show in the Celebrity Theater called ‘Liverpool Knights’ a tribute to the music of the British Liverpudlian 1960’s music and bands. The show is fast and furious, with music and dancing.
Cases need to be packed tonight ready for the Cruise attendants to collect them for transporting ashore in the morning. Our disembarking time is 8.40am.
