Its a bright clear frosty morning when we sqidge into Nancylee's car and drive towards North Vancouver over the Lions Gate bridge. We're going up Grouse Mountain. It's not yet open to the skiers so it shouldn't be too busy. Leaving the car at the sky ride park we grab a coffee at Starbucks before catching the next cable car to the Ski Lodge.
The huge log fireplace in the lodge is lit and welcoming.
It's beautiful outside clear and sunny. An area in front of the lodge has been turned into an ice rink and youngsters and their families are whizzing round it in various degrees of skill. The novices have a sort of 'zimmer frame' to assist them! Shame on them. Half the fun of learning to skate is falling on your bum. After a lovely meal in the Lodges restaurant. Thanks Annie. We have a fun walk in the snow enjoying the clear fresh still air. Its so peaceful up here despite other people around. It's strange there's so much snow but in the sun it's warmer up here than down in the city.

Mount Baker across in the States is covered in snow as well
So beautiful.
Bye from Grouse Mountain. I go home tomorrow so this will be my last post.
