Gothic Black Trees with Sparkly White Icicles

Pixie faced fairies clinging to branches, chubby faced, over weight white haired guys in rich brocade fur edged coats in purples, browns, creams and reds Sparkly lights and cuddly animals. Ribbons and bows. Baubles and beads. Are we in fantasy land? Well yes sort of. we're in the Christmas wonderland of Manderville Garden Center in Burnaby. Where ever you go now Christmas is in your face. Christmas songs piped over every speaker system in every shop. Every Mall and every shop has it decorations out.

We wander around the decoration at Manderville gardens but are only tempted to buy spring bulbs and pansies for the window boxes. I choose four lilac hyacinths, cream and blue pansies and cream crocuses for Nancy's window box. At the moment it looks very sad with sad dying impatients.
We decide to have lunch at the Garden Centers cafe before driving to Richmond Mall via an annoyingly closed yarn shop on main Street. in the Mall the Christmas decorations are also up. Wandering through the Malls shops we end up in the Bay and eventually at the Bay's coffee shop for a cup of tea before we head for home.
