After last nights blowout meal at Nancy and John's home and and early morning wake up curtsey of Sam we're all just a bit weary today. Sam has a thyroid problem and needs medication from the Vet. He use to be a plump 'Garfield' but he's lost so much weight quickly but is constantly demanding food! He reminds me of 'Simon's Cat' another cartoon cat!
Nancy Lee came over mid morning with an enormous bag of her wool stash. I finished up with more yarn to add to my stash back home.
Just before lunch the heavy rains hit again as we were about to go off to Ironwood Mall on the Steveston Highway after a mooch about Canadian Tire, mostly waiting for Dave to examine everything we headed across to Browns Social House. It's not a social club as we know then but a restaurant and despite it being dark and noisy it has really good food.

So folks here's the food content of the day!
 |
Halibut in a potato crust with almond rice and a Cowgirls salad. and it was delicious! Cowgirls salad?.... don't ask. I have no idea. |
 |
| Crisp Yam Fries much better than potato fries (chips) |
After lunch we wander around another shop before heading home. Rains left us for the North East and we see a sliver of blue sky. As we turn to travel up Railway Road the mountains across in North Vancouver come into view. The first time for days. They're a brooding, beautiful Indigo colour as the rain clouds have been blown Northwards over them. The forecast is for better weather tomorrow but I think we need a day of rest. Jet lag still hasn't fully abated!
