The journey to Heathrow was smooth and uneventful Thanks to Sean. The usual 'pitstop' at South Mimms and on to Terminal 5 Heathrow. It's new, light, airy and extremley spacious. We had to catch a transit train ( They're a bit like the london underground trains only much newer and cleaner) to the arircraft gate. Lots and lots of long corridors to walk! The sickly knee was not in good shape before we boarded. After 9 hours or more being cramped in a aircraft seat it was complaining copiously. Vancouver airport is equally light airy and spacious with just as many long corridors to trek. The baggage carrousels were the usual wait. Two case came through early and two arrived almost last. Nancy, Nancylee and John were waiting at the exit gate to meet us with a big bouquet of beautiful flowers.
I was too tired to unpack last night so suitably dosed with pain killers I tumbled into bed.
