Nancylee and John collect us to go over to the Landsdown Mall to 'Earls' for lunch. Snowploughs have been active all over the city. The main roads have been cleared and salted the road sides are banked high with snow. Side roads are treacherous skating rinks with snow over ice. Cars left parked on the road side are buried in the snow ploughed away from the roads.
The snowy landscape and houses decorated with hundreds of coloured Christmas lights makes for a fairy tale Christmas cards image. 
The snow cats in the car parks at the Malls are struggling to clear the snow. Its piled 5 to 6 feet high in some places. We manage to park and go to Earls for lunch. I opt for a delicious Pad Tai.
After shopping for some fresh produce in the Mall we head back home. The sun is setting and the sky has small fluffy bright orange clouds. 
There's still much building going on in Richmond and the Sky Train is being tested along the line. This section of the line and the station has been built and almost completed since last year when we were here. It has to all be finished, tested and running by this time next year ready for the 2010 winter Olympics.
